What can I say about this book? I have all but one or two of Mick Walker’s books, and all are worth having and reading. This book is the perfect complement to “Japanese Grand Prix Racing Motorcycles” also by Mick Walker. This volume is full of historical information (perhaps even too much in some respects) and great period black and white photographs. I gave it four stars rather than five only because I wish it had gone into more detail regarding Kawasaki (my favorite make but also a major contributor to motorcycle racing) and the lack of color photographs. All or most of the photographs within the book were undoubtably color to begin with, and I would spend the extra money for full color. Aside from my the personal preferences I noted, “Japanese Production Racing Motorcycles” is worth the money and adding to anyone’s collection.
